Only real downside was the lack of bedside lamps. the main switch near the door was the only means to control lighting, making late-night reads a challenge. The soda machine was outdated too, not allowing credit card purchases—meaning a coke was out of reach without change. Lastly, though the price seemed a bit high for Hallettsville, other local hotels were pricier.
